Breaking the News - CASP MiCA Authorization

On 22 July 2026, the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Capital Market Commission granted Xenios Blockchain Group A.E. one of the first CASP licences under the EU's MiCA regulation — authorising the provision of crypto-asset order reception and transmission services on behalf of clients.

The decision was covered across major Greek financial and business media outlets within hours of the announcement, recognising XBG as a pioneer in Greece's regulated digital asset market.

The CASP licence — granted under EU Regulation 2023/1114 (MiCA) — authorises Xenios Blockchain Group to legally provide crypto-asset services in Greece and, via the European regulatory passport, across all 27 EU member states.

Licensed providers are registered in the ESMA registry as Crypto-Asset Service Providers, giving clients and institutional partners full legal certainty about the regulated status of the services they use. XBG was among the first companies in Greece to receive this authorisation under the MiCA framework, following BCash which received the first Greek CASP licence on 30 June 2026.

The licence covers the reception and transmission of orders relating to crypto-assets on behalf of clients, as defined in Article 3(1)(23) of Regulation (EU) 2023/1114.
